A watercolor blue heron on hot press paper. Inspired by the many blue heron I see feeding in the Rappahanock river when driving on the Falmouth bridge in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

This was a watercolor study where I experimented with masking fluid and color pencil on hot press paper, as well as used digital tools to add finishing touches to the final piece.
